President and CEO
Kenneth Oif was the President and CEO of National Biological Corporation (NBC) the world's largest phototherapy company until its eventual sale to an investment group. At NBC Ken was responsible for manufacturing, distribution, finance, marketing and sales. While NBC was focused on skin disease Ken always thought that UV phototherapy could play a larger role in the treatment of systemic autoimmune diseases and LumaVive is an outgrowth of his deep research efforts. Ken's expertise is in the mechanism-of-action regarding Narrowband-UVB. Through his work while at NBC he built a relationship with the University of Alabama (UAB) dermatology department which has now blossomed into a deeper collaboration with the UAB neurology and rheumatology departments.
